I discovered the secret to stop pulling my hair out and all I had to do was cut my thumb off.
Okay, not really OFF, but damn I cut it so good.
Sliced right through it in the most horrid way. Practically took the whole tip-off.
I was trying to cut a jalapeno for my burger when it happened.
What sucks about the thumb is that I use it for everything. Daily tasks are super hard because of the wrap I have on it.
What doesn’t suck about the thumb is I use it to pull my hair.
I guess I really never thought about what fingers I use the most to pull my hair, but apparently, the thumb is one of my precision tools for finding the hair I want to pull.
It was my left thumb that I cut and I use my left hand the most.
Up until now, I have been training my left hand with my Keen2 bracelet.
I haven’t started my training on the right hand yet because the left is more dominant for me so I wanted to get that one down before using both bracelets at the same time.
Now that my left hand is a bit out of commission as far as pulling, I think I’ll start training on the right hand.
I can’t suck my left thumb, so I suck the right one only.
I bet the nail under there is going to grow really good because I won’t be biting it.
Naturally, I expect to heal quickly, I always do because Jesus paid for it but I’m going to use this bad situation for my good.
It’s kinda weird not being able to pull it the way I would like, it’s almost become its own detour because I give up and do something else.
Kinda nice.
I don’t encourage anyone to cut their thumb but maybe slap a bunch of bandaids on it so you can’t get to it?
Without the pain, it would probably be hard to keep the bandaids on but it could make a good detour for a little while anyway.
2022 is proving to be the year of the clutz, but I am still resting, regardless of all freak accidents happening to me this year.
Time to charge my right-hand bracelet and work on that side while I heal on the left. Since I can’t pull my hair on that side right now anyway.
