I have been experiencing the best hair regrowth and it’s all because I decided to establish a good haircare routine for myself.

I have battled trichotillomania almost my whole life and my hair has always been a constant source of self loathing and low self esteem.
I have done a lot to help stop my hair pulling the last couple years but I never thought about the way I cared for my hair until I met another trichster who shared with me her secret of success.
We all have our tricks to keeping ourselves pull-free and hers was her hair products.
Better Hair Care Products Help A LOT.
Last October, I took a leap of faith and decided to purchase some hair care products that we’re pretty pricey. I did it because I had tried some samples and really fell in love with how it made my hair feel.
My hair feels clean, less kinky and easier to manage as a result of using these better hair care products.
I have found that I have a heightened sense of awareness to the fact that I want to take care of my hair, I want to protect my hair and my BIG investment.
“I didn’t drop a hundred bones on shampoo just to keep messing up my hair, did I?” I ask myself stuff like that.
Having A Good Hairstylist Helps A LOT.
On Feb. 19th I had a hair appointment to get my hair cut and colored for the first time in over a year with this particular stylist.
She’s very pricey. I can’t afford her for a regular cut anymore but when it comes to color, she’s the one to go too… and she comes at a high price.
I don’t always drop cash on myself like this, I promise, but when it comes to my hair, I want to do better because I’m SEEING and FEELING the difference.
I am very open about my trichotillomania with my hair stylist and because I am, she’s able to style it in a way that helps me hide any problem areas.
CBD Oil Helps Hair Growth Help A LOT.
Last July I purchased CBD oil to help with my anxiety and it’s been phenomenal for my hair regrowth.
CBD oil loaded with Omega 3 Fatty Acids and works to restore balance in all throughout the body. It’s helped me with so many issues that I am a believer that everyone needs to try, it especially if you have trich.

Spending A Little Money Helps A LOT.
Spending a little money on myself here and there isn’t selfish, it’s self care.
The hair care products I bought were a lot of money upfront but have actually lasted me MONTHS longer than other brands. I still have over half my bottles left and it’s been 4 months since I purchased that haul of stuff.
4+ months is a long time for any shampoo and its because I only need to wash with a tiny amount every 3-4 days. This brand high quality, not all water like most other brands.
I challenge you to really think about whether or not you love what your shampoo is doing for your hair? Do you love how your hair feels after you shower?
I do.
And How long does your shampoo lasts on average? Do you get 4+ months from a half bottle?
I do.
My trips to the hair salon, they are expensive, but they make me feel pretty and I don’t need to go as often now that I take better care of my hair.
You’d be surprised how much less breakage and kinkyness there is with a better shampoo.
A good brand of CBD oil costs money, but I can’t imagine not using it now that I’ve experienced such positive results with my mental health and hair.

3 Ways To Improve Hair Regrowth
- Better Shampoo
- A Good Hair Stylist
- Quality CBD Oil
Better Haircare = Less Hair Pulling
It’s true that we will fight for what we love. When you start to love your hair, you will fight for it. That’s true of me.
My hair feels so much different than it did before I started taking better care of it and it grows so much faster now.
I don’t have the urge to pull it as much because of how it feels now. BUT if I do get the urge, I am more aware of the reasons I don’t want to pull it out…
- I spent a lot of hard earned money on better shampoo, a nice hair stylist and quality CBD oil to get it feeling and looking this nice!
- I like how it looks and feels and I don’t want to mess it up!
I have put together a trichotillomania toolkit that helps me combat hair pulling when I do need help but establishing this haircare routine has helped me SO MUCH!
