Ack! I Can’t Stop Touching My Split Ends!
The more split ends I have, the more I touch my hair in THAT spot.
Something about touching my split ends that feels so dang good or bad or antagonizing?
Not sure?
Funny thing about these split ends is that I love to pull more when I know I have a lot of them.
I can’t keep trimming that area because then my hair just gets shorter faster, or does it?
I absolutely hate getting hair cuts because then I have to explain why my hair looks the way it does and that’s never comfortable.
This area is so short that I have to sort of comb it back so it looks feathered..
Maybe She’s Born with It? Maybe It’s Trichotillomania?
It only looks feathered 😉 Most people don’t notice it, if they do, they’re way to close too me.
The split ends get really shredded to the point where they are totally uneven and look a bit jagged in my hair clips.
This is because I start pulling on them like a crazy person when they get this way..
The worse the split ends, the more I pull at them..
It’s like I have hairspray in there and I can’t stop ripping at it.
Hair spray?
Yea.
Anything that dries crispy makes me want to pull..
It’s probably time I get a trim but I’m gonna push it as long as I can.
One of the ways I prolong the dreaded visit to the hair dresser is by pulling my hair back in braids on the sides.
You like?
It’s more of a summer style if you ask me?
The side braid is a classic because it’s a pain-in the-butt to undo and it feels good if you pull it back tight enough in the braid.
I can’t stop touching my split ends if they’re not pulled back away from me and this is the best way I know how.
So About You?
Do you have the urge to pull your split ends too?
How do you feel when you have hairspray or other styling products in your hair?
