I’m Trying To Grow Thicker, Fuller Hair Naturally!
Can You Tell My Hair Is More Full?
Even though it’s growing back, it definitely wasn’t looking healthy.
I’ve been doing my best to take care of my hair, starting from the inside.
I want my hair to grow in stronger from the root.
I know it’s not going to happen overnight but I am seeing positive results fairly fast.
I knew that I wanted to grow my hair back healthier and stronger so I took the first photo about 4 months prior so that I could see if I could visibly see the difference in awhile’s time.
I definitely feel a difference in thickness when I pull it in a pony tail and I can see the difference in the before and after pictures that I took.
How I’m Naturally Growing Thicker, Fuller Hair Again
I added some vitamins, supplements, water and some other natural liquids.
Did she say natural liquids? 🤔
Don’t worry, it’s not urine or anything (although I have read some things).
1. More Vitamin C
Vitamin C is known to help promote healthy hair growth because it builds collagen which is essential for hair growth.
Vitamin C helps our body adsorb nutrients better which helps keep the hair strong.
Vitamin C deficiency will lead to hair loss. 😮
I have to take a lot of vitamin C because I’m also taking an NAC supplement to stop my hair pulling.
There are two ways I get a lot of vitamin C everyday; I take a supplement and eat and drink vegetables high in vitamin C daily.
2. Whole Foods Prenatal Vitamin
I take a while food prenatal vitamin every day and the reason is because it has lots of vitamins that promote hair growth.
I buy the whole food vitamins because regular synthetic prenatal vitamins (which are fine too) are hard on my stomach.
Most prenatal vitamins have extra iron (which is good for strong locks) but it’s hard on the tummy tum tum.
The whole foods kind are actually made of food, so they don’t hurt my stomach.
3. Lots of Water
This was torture at first, I had to learn to space out my 8 glasses of water.
Let me give you a tip when it comes to drinking water that will save your sanity.
Space out your drinking and start EARLY!
There are a couple of ways this can be done.
- Filling a gallon water jug and marking the times on the side. (I used a 2 Quart Jug)
- Setting the phone alarm to go off every two hours and drink 16 oz water. (or every hour and drink 8 oz of water)
- Get a water bottle the time markings already on it.
Why am I telling you this?
Because if you don’t space out your water drinking, you will be on the can all day pissing your brains out.
There is nothing more annoying than being bathroom bound (especially in the middle of the night).
I am speaking from experience.
4. Use Apple Cider Vinegar
If you read my post earlier, you know that apple cider vinegar has been a huge blessing to my hair pulling disorder.
I drink it every single day and I drink a lot of water.
I also use it as a rinse in the shower, to take off any dead skin and residue at the scalp.
Apple cider vinegar helps prevent hair loss, which is great if you’re trying to grow you hair thick again.
You can use it as a rinse and drink it!
Everyone can benefit from using apple cider vinegar no matter who you are.
Apple cider vinegar is known as a miracle substance because it’s great for use topically as well as consumption.
The lady who made the brand I drink lived to be like 112 or something like that?
It doesn’t taste good or smell good at first but I’ve been using it for months now and it helps keep my scalp feeling fresh and mind clear.
Definitely add this to your daily regimen if you want healthier hair.
5. Use CBD Oil

I Use THIS BRAND!
CBD Oil is amazing for hair and skin!
Update: See my hair regrowth here.
CBD oil is high in vitamin E and omega fatty acids which are crucial for optimal hair health.
CBD can be taken orally and used topically, just like ACV.
A really good CBD oil improves dry scalp, helps blood circulation and reduces inflammation around the hair follicles which helps with faster, stronger, longer hair growth overall.
I starting taking CBD oil for my anxiousness but the benefits for hair and overall health are amazing!
Everyone should be taking CBD, I could dance I’m so happy about this stuff in my life.
Apple cider vinegar and cbd oil are the two things that I keep on hand AT ALL TIMES for optimal health because the benefits are just unreal.

6. Eating Coconut Oil
I eat a coconut oil every day.
Sometimes I put it on my hair but for the most part, I eat it.
Healthy, thicker hair starts from the inside and there’s so many essential nutrients in the coconut oil.
I’ve been eating coconut oil every single day since I started the Keto diet because it’s a healthy fat that keeps me fuller, longer.
To eat it, I put a spoon in the jar and stick it in my mouth.
I let it dissolve a little in my mouth if it’s more buttery than oily and then swallow it.
I also get a lot of coconut oil in the “fat bomb” recipes I make which is a tastier way to consume it.
7. Adding a Biotin Supplement
I have added biotin to my daily regimen.
I hear it recommended in Facebook communities and I read it was good for thicker hair.
I have noticed that my hair grows back in longer faster when I’m taking this supplement.
There are a ton of different supplements that offer biotin, some favorites are Hair, Skin and Nails brand but I think anything with biotin would be effective.
The brand I’m taking has 5,000 mcg of biotin in it.
If you open the capsule of biotin dilute it in water and apply directly on your head it helps growth as well, fairly fast too!
Before and After Pictures
I’m going to update this in a couple months with more pictures.
